Kushal Yuva Program (KYP) - Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM)
Program Objective: Enhance employability skills of aspirants aged 15-28 years.
- Age limits for specific categories:
- SC/ST: 33 years
- OBC: 31 years
- PwD (People with Disabilities): 33 years
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have passed at least the 10th class, regardless of higher education level or ongoing higher education.
Training Modules:
- Life Skills
- Communication Skills (English & Hindi)
- Basic Computer Literacy
Purpose: Improve employability and complement domain-specific training programs in Bihar.
Key Milestones (as of 27th August 2024):
- Total Admissions: Over 25,64,803 learners enrolled.
- Approved Training Centers: 1,875 centers.
- Program Launch: Started on 16th December 2016 with:
- 48 centers
- 1,978 learners
Current Coverage:
- Approved centers operate across 534 blocks in all 38 districts of Bihar.
